How far in advance should I book a heavy haul move?
For permitted loads, plan 5–10 business days for routing and permit issuance. Super-loads requiring route surveys, bridge analysis, or utility coordination may need 3–4 weeks. Standard flatbed and same-day requests are available where permitting allows.
What equipment do you use for heavy haul?
We run lowboys, removable gooseneck (RGN) trailers, step decks, double drops, extendable flatbeds, and multi-axle configurations rated for super-loads. Trailer selection depends on cargo weight, height clearance, and load geometry.
Do you handle permits and escorts?
Yes. We arrange Caltrans single-trip and annual permits, pilot cars, route surveys, and any required CHP escorts. Cross-state moves include coordinating permits for every jurisdiction on the route.
What is considered an oversize or overweight load in California?
In California, a load is oversize if it exceeds 8'6" wide, 14' tall, or 65–75' long depending on configuration, and overweight if it exceeds 80,000 lbs gross. Caltrans permits are required, and pilot car (escort) requirements scale with dimensions.
