Repair Shop
Our Truck Maintenance & Repair Shop staff is made up of thoroughly trained technicians who specialize in Cat, Cummins, Eaton Fuller, Rockwell, Spicer, Detroit Diesel and A/C. The shop is staffed 6 days a week, and runs on a 2-shift schedule.
About Our Facility and Shop:
Situated on five acres, the Bill Signs Trucking maintenance facility sits just off California State Hwy 67 in Lakeside. It has 2 wide access roads. This facility is an 11,600 square foot shop offering full truck maintenance and repairs.
The air-conditioned main building houses offices, a locker room and restrooms, and plenty of lock-away storage as well as the shop areas. There are two 14′ x 32′ bays with 18′ of vertical clearance and a 1,600 square foot covered annex which is the lube area. The lube area has double-containment, above-ground lube storage with 5 pumps and reels, and Evac with waste-oil storage. One side of the lube annex has two 10 ton adjustable, in-ground hoists.
Our truck shop is fully equipped with:

- Bee Line 15HP Strobe spin balancer
- Bee Line 100Ton axle beam straightening equipment
- Cat ET
- Other diagnostic tools
A 43′ x 20′ machine shop sits in the center of the main building and is equipped with:
- 50 ton stationary press
- 75 ton portable press
- 19″ lathe with a 6″ bed
- Vertical mill
- 2 drill presses
- 10hp pedestal grinder⁄wire brush
- 25 ton 26″ strong back metal brake
- 4 ton arbor press
- Upright band saw
The entire shop area is serviced with a 5 ton overhead crane.
Adjacent to the shop area is a 15,000 square foot concrete truck parking area with four underground shop air outlets. An 18′ x 80′ covered drive-thru bay runs along the entire north end of the main building. There is a 14′ x 30′ weld shop bay with an 18′ high roll-up door. The weld shop has a stationary 650 amp CV DC power supply with 75′ of lead and cable. There are two portable 300 amp machines and one 250 amp machine. Additionally, there is also a 250 amp AC square wave tig machine with a water-cooled torch, and two wire feeders for mig welding (one is a MillerMatic and the other is a LN7). The weld shop also houses a ypertherm MAX100 plasma cutter, and pattern and track torches. The shop has ample 480v electrical service. On the south side of the main building is a 38′ X 38′ secure lock-up area with two 14′ x 18′ roll up doors.
